This workshop will offer a basic introduction to useful plants, both wild and cultivated. Prepare to be outdoors for most of the time we meet. We will do a plant walk, a materia medica on the plants in our midst, and have a hands on demonstration of how to make an alcohol extract, or tincture.
Our instructor, Liz Meeks is a Nashville native. In addition to many years of self-taught herbalism, she has studied at the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism in Asheville, NC. She is currently the garden manager at the BELL Garden at Bellevue Middle School. This free workshop will offer participants first choice to register for an upcoming series on a variety of topics related to herbal medicine and wellness.
Hope to see you there!
