Garden Openings 2013


We have current garden openings for 2013!
Urban Garden Apprentice - March to Nov 2013, 15-20 hours/week
  • Help create and implement core East Nashville garden design from seed to harvest with supervision and training from Garden Coordinator & Educator. 
  • Grow organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs while practicing Biodynamic and Forest Agriculture principles within a cooperative garden network. 
ENCM's garden focus is education and community participation--inclusive and cooperative.
Must have comfort relating with diverse community members, love manual garden work, have good plant knowledge (or be ready and willing to learn and implement independently and collaboratively), possess a creative and curious heart and mind, and be able to communicate openly and cooperatively.


Garden Community Connections Intern - March to Nov 2013, 10-15 hours /week
  • Connect with local community in various ways-from grassroots to social media--to spread the word about ENCM programs, events, gatherings. 
  • Assist facilitating creative garden projects with artists, children, diverse community.
  • Help tell ENCM's garden story, how we are empowering people to grow food themselves.
  • Help create partnerships with local businesses.
  • Help create fun, down-to-earth garden events.
  • Help create activities that connect our food pantry with our gardens.
Must have comfort relating with diverse community members, have good communication/media skills, possess a creative and curious heart and mind, and be able to communicate openly and cooperatively.
