Veggie Tales!

Come and Learn about simple and enjoyable gardening, Thursday (8/11) at 5pm!

Join East Nashville Cooperative Ministry for a workshop about simple gardening this Thursday (August 11th) at 5 pm in the McCoy Memorial Garden on 807 Main St. Gardening-extraordinaire and long time East Nashville native Ms. Iola Avery will share her infinite wisdom about growing fresh fruits and vegetables. The veteran gardener will teach us about the growing season, including when to plant, what you can grow and how to tend fruits and vegetables. She will also teach us how to know when the produce is ready, what grows well in this climate, and much more.

Have limited space for growing? No problem! Ms. Iola will discuss how and what you can plant if you want to grow in an enclosed space. There are also garden plots available for community members in the McCoy Garden. At the end of the workshop, we will be starting seeds for fall vegetables!
